Description and Targets
Virgin activated carbon substrate without impregnation. The removal mechanism is physical adsorption. Target gases are adsorbed into the pores of the media and there is a risk of desorption for select contaminants.
Target contaminants: Volatile organics (VOCs), hydrocarbons (HCs), chlorine, and ozone.
Activated carbon substrate impregnated with an alkaline chemical, such as potassium hydroxide (KOH). The chemical reaction is defined as acid-base. Target gases are converted in solids and there is no risk of desorption.
Target contaminants: hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, methyl mercaptan, hydrogen chloride, chlorine, and acid gases.
Activated alumina substrate impregnated with an 8% potassium permanganate (KMnO4) solution. The chemical reaction is defined as oxidation. Target gases are converted in solids and there is no risk of desorption.
Target contaminants: hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, methyl mercaptan, other acid gases, ethylene and formaldehyde.
Activated alumina substrate impregnated with a 4% potassium permanganate (KMnO4) solution. The chemical reaction is defined as oxidation. Target gases are converted in solids and there is no risk of desorption.
Target contaminants: hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, methyl mercaptan, other acid gases, ethylene and formaldehyde.
Blended media consisting of 50% activated alumina substrate impregnated with 8% KMnO4 and 50% virgin activated carbon. Both physical adsorption and chemical reaction are used as removal mechanisms to target broad range of contaminants.
Target contaminants: VOCs, HCs, chlorine, ozone, sulfur compounds, methyl mercaptan, ethylene and formaldehyde

Target contaminants: VOCs, HCs, chlorine, ozone, sulfur compounds, methyl mercaptan, ethylene and formaldehyde.
SP-DRI media is generally smooth spheres formed of activated alumina. This product features high crush strength and low dust content. Activated alumina balls are highly capable of adsorbing moisture and water vapors. SP-DRI is a perfect desiccant for a variety of applications where high moisture adsorption is required and is extremely effective for drying gases and compressed air.
